Licensed Practical Nurse – IDD Nurse
Thomasville, GA | $25.00 / Hour
A service center is looking for a licensed practical nurse to perform individualized nursing care for individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities. You will be responsible for working in a timely manner, upholding the facility’s expectations for cleanliness, and interacting with each client in a respectful and polite manner.
Responsibilities
- Use and practice basic assessment data collection, participate in planning
- Administer medicine to individuals in accordance to their Plan of Care
- Execute interventions in accordance with the Plan of Care
- Communicate to ensure patient/family is educated to the Plan of Care and planned treatments
- Maintain an environment of safety for patients, self and others and support patient safety initiatives
- Assess patient's condition, including biophysical, psychosocial, age specific needs, and safety needs
- Document patients status according to unit specific and nursing division polices and procedures
- Collaborate with other health care team members in formulating plan, implement the nursing plan of care on assigned patients
- Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics
- Recognize, support and utilize evidenced based nursing practices
- Follow all Physicians orders as given
- Coordinate activities with other health team members to ensure optimal patient care and communication of pertinent findings
- Any other task as requested by the Supervisor or Administrator
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Licensure
- IDD experience
Requirements
- Clean criminal background check
- Clear Drug Screen
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean motor vehicle record (7 years)
- Insured vehicle
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Work well in a fast-paced environment
- Have strong communication skills
- Be able to perform all of the duties listed above
- Have personable customer service skills
- Be self-motivated and stay on task with minimal supervision
Location: Thomasville, GA
Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hourly - Based on experience
Schedule: Monday – Friday varied shifts and every other weekend 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
