Lumber Mill General Labor

Entry-level position to perform general lumber mill responsibilities including stacking lumber, moving inventory, and verifying inventory counts.

Principle/Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Prior experience in a mill and/or wood production work environment
• Operate machine or basic equipment
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures & regulations
• Perform basic maintenance to equipment (hydraulic fluid, etc.)
• Make sure all electrical panels are shut off before working on equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Minimal Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Prior experience in a mill and/or wood production work environment preferred
• May include climbing, pushing, kneeling and lifting heavy items
• Must be able to lift dimensional lumber to 50 lbs.
