Lab Technician- MANUFACTURING

Tanury Industries is a family owned and operating decorative electroplating business in Lincoln for the past 80 years.  We are the premier decorative plater in the nation and; our work can be seen on high-end motorcycle and automotive parts, private and commercial aviation, marine hardware—even on the items you may wear such as high-end gift or jewelry items.   We are looking for a Lab Technician

Responsibilities

·         Good lab practices and lab techniques.

·         Experience with wet chemistry: Titrations.

·         Experience with lab instrumentation: Atomic absorption, Gas chromatography.

·         Experience with basic lab equipment: Refractometers, PH meters, conductivity meters, rectifiers, analytical balances. 

·         Knowledge of statistical process control.  

·         Experience with a laboratory information system.

·         Prior work experience with ISO and or NADCAP.

·         Prior work experience in the chemical industry or an adjacent field.

·         Bonus:  Experience preparing metallographic cross sections and SEM operation.

·         Candidate must be willing to participate in a team environment concerning the reduction of waste and the conservation of water at the facility and other activities.

·         Candidate will play a role in R&D of new processed and process development and documentation.

Qualifications:

·         Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint.

·         Problem solving/troubleshooting skills.

·         Excellent communications skills

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy
