About the Opportunity

A rapidly growing metal manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to lead and strengthen its end-to-end supply chain and operations. This is a newly created management role driven by significant business expansion and the need for a leader who can bring structure, efficiency, and strategic direction to a fast-paced, privately owned manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 3–4 direct reports across supply chain, inventory control, and logistics functions.
  • Oversee all supply chain activities from procurement and production planning through shipping and delivery.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in supply chain operations.
  • Manage supplier relationships—domestic and international—to reduce lead times, optimize inventory, and minimize air freight and logistics costs.
  • Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, addressing process gaps and implementing preventive controls.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and production to support the company’s rapid facility expansion and growth initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally to introduce best practices and a “big company” supply chain mindset within a nimble, entrepreneurial culture.
  • Remain highly visible on the manufacturing floor, providing leadership through direct engagement with teams.
  • Provide hands-on support during problem-solving efforts related to supply chain disruptions or customer issues.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, materials management, or operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven success managing supply chains for companies with $40M+ in annual revenue or similar complexity.
  • Experience leading teams and implementing measurable process improvements in manufacturing settings.
  • Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (experience with E2 JobBOSS, SAP, or JD Edwards preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage long-lead international sourcing and logistics.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Must be 100% onsite; this is not a remote or hybrid position.
