Retail Pharmacist in Newport, NE

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A small independent retail pharmacy located in the heart of downtown offers an immediate opportunity for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC). This full-time role provides the chance to be a key contributor as the pharmacy undergoes exciting growth, including plans to build a new high-visibility location within the next 6 to 9 months. The new facility will support expanded staff and services, and the right candidate may influence the design and setup of the new store.

Location:

• Downtown Newport, NE

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
• 30-minute lunch break (1:00 PM 1:30 PM)
• No weekends or evenings

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), managing day-to-day pharmacy operations
• Dispense prescriptions, averaging 100+ per day
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff including technician and clerk
• Ensure pliance with all regulations and maintain high-quality customer service
• Support munity health initiatives and build relationships with local clients

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Pharmacy License or willingness to obtain NE licensure
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings, fortable operating as the sole pharmacist/PIC
• Strong munity focus, personable and dependable
• Availability for virtual interview and mitment to long-term role
