Job Description
Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB or hold Nuclear Medicine certification ARRT(N) and have a minimium of 1+ years Nuclear Medicine experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized imaging opportunity is available for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist with expertise in CT/PET technology. This contract role engages with a mobile imaging unit operating onsite at a premier university medical center, providing essential nuclear medicine and CT/PET diagnostic services.
Location:This position is based in Edison, New Jersey, working exclusively at a mobile unit stationed at a renowned university hospital. Edison is a vibrant munity known for its diverse population, excellent schools, and convenient access to major metropolitan areas, offering a balanced lifestyle between urban amenities and suburban fort.
Schedule:
- Days, Monday through Friday
- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- 5 eight-hour shifts per week
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Nuclear Medicine (N) is required
- Additional certification required in either ARRT Radiology (R), ARRT puted Tomography (CT), or NMTCB puted Tomography (CT)
- Valid New Jersey state licenses for Nuclear Medicine and Radiology must be held
- Proven experience performing nuclear medicine and CT/PET imaging procedures in a clinical or mobile setting
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and imaging equipment operation
Responsibilities:
- Operate mobile nuclear medicine and CT/PET imaging equipment with precision and adherence to safety standards
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure their safety and fort throughout the process
- Accurately record and process imaging data for physician review
- Maintain equipment and supplies ensuring optimal operation of the mobile unit
- Collaborate with medical staff to support prehensive patient care
