Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A reputable K-12 school in Frazee, MN is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support the diverse needs of their student population throughout the school year. This contract position offers an opportunity to utilize your specialized skills in a dynamic educational environment, helping students achieve their individual therapy goals and enhance their daily functioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the occupational therapist and educational staff to implement individualized intervention plans for students.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students with various developmental, physical, and cognitive challenges.
  • Document progress and municate effectively with teachers, therapists, parents, and administration.
  • Assist in adapting classroom materials and environments to meet student needs.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to developing functional goals for students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Experience working with children in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices and educational standards.
  • Ability to effectively municate and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Reliable, organized, and student-focused approach to therapy.
