About the Opportunity:
An established leader in utility construction and infrastructure solutions is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of power delivery projects. This individual will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining exceptional communication and quality standards.
The company is part of a nationally recognized group serving critical infrastructure sectors such as power, gas distribution, and telecommunications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of project delivery, including planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and performance reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and utility clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee construction activities for electrical distribution, transmission, and substation projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
- Prepare and present project financials, forecasts, and earned value reports.
- Support quality assurance, punch list completion, and project closeout.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing or coordinating construction projects, preferably within the utility sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management platforms (e.g., Primavera, Procore).
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of utility standards, NESC codes, and OSHA/DOT safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience with investor-owned utilities or municipal power clients.
- Knowledge of permitting and utility relocation processes.
- Certifications such as PMP or OSHA 30
