Job Description
Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to support a K-12 school in Slidell, LA, for the uping school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to apply your therapeutic expertise in an educational setting, providing vital services to students with physical needs.
The ideal candidate will hold a Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program and possess a valid Louisiana Physical Therapy license. Previous experience working with children, particularly in schools, is highly preferred to ensure effective collaboration with educators and tailored intervention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with identified physical therapy needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional performance.
- Collaborate closely with school personnel, parents, and other healthcare providers to support student progress.
- Document progress and maintain pliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding therapeutic techniques and acmodations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Louisiana Physical Therapy licensure.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings.
- Strong munication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of educational and therapy documentation requirements.
