- Make an Impact - Help students with special needs build life skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive school environment
- Apply Therapeutic Frameworks - Utilize the CPS model and other mental health methodologies (CBT, DBT, family systems) to guide student support, emotional regulation, and intervention strategies.
- Provide Student Interventions - Deliver proactive, preventative, and de-escalation supports; collaborate with staff, parents, and community providers to promote consistent implementation and growth.
- Develop Programs & Partnerships - Design postsecondary transition programs, life skills curricula, and community-based internships that prepare students for independence and success.
- Lead & Coach Teams - Guide a multidisciplinary team of academic, clinical, and operational staff, aligning them around shared goals and student outcomes.
- Build a Strong Culture - Foster a positive, accountable, and empathetic environment that balances structure with flexibility and supports staff development.
- Ensure Quality & Compliance - Oversee IEP fidelity, documentation, staffing, scheduling, and operations to maintain legal and programmatic excellence.
- Use Data & Develop Staff - Employ data-driven decision-making to evaluate outcomes and provide coaching, feedback, and professional development to enhance team performance.
- Collaborate & Advocate - Partner with families, districts, and the clinical director to support student needs, make thoughtful enrollment decisions, and represent the school in hearings when needed.
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Connecticut state endorsement 068-School Counselor, 070- School Psychologist, or
071-School Social Worker. - Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with students, staff, and parents.
