Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position at a Level I Trauma academic medical center, requiring interventional scrub experience and a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience.

  • Large short-term acute care hospital with over 1,200 staffed beds, Level I Trauma designation, and academic teaching affiliation
  • \n
  • Cath Lab unit specializing in diagnostic and interventional PCI procedures with a 1:1 patient ratio
  • \n
  • Patient population includes AMI, chest pain, heart failure, NSTEMI, aortic stenosis, V-Tach, endocarditis, AFib, peripheral vascular disease, and sick sinus syndrome
  • \n
  • Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts on a rotating basis covering 0700–1730 (standard), 0700–1730 (late), and 1000–2030 (close) as needed
  • \n
  • Every other weekend required
  • \n
  • Rotating on-call required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays — subject to change based on unit needs
  • \n
  • Documents in Epic EMR; Epic experience required
  • \n
  • Specialized equipment includes Impella and IABP
  • \n
  • Floating within the Cath Lab service line required to meet facility needs
  • \n
  • Navy scrubs required
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active MO RN license or Compact RN license valid in Missouri required at time of consideration
  • \n
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
  • \n
  • Interventional scrub experience required
  • \n
  • Experience in a high-volume, high-acuity Cath Lab environment required
  • \n
  • Level I Trauma center experience required
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
  • Candidate's home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • RN Circulator role involves providing conscious sedation under the direction of the attending physician, handing off sterile supplies, assessing vitals, and documenting in Epic
  • \n
  • Cross-training to run hemodynamics in the monitor tech role is likely
  • \n
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • \n
  • RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
  • \n
  • Travelers may remain at this health system for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
  • \n
  • Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • \n
  • Block scheduling is not available for this position
  • \n
  • Monthly parking passes are available for purchase at various rates depending on location
