American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring the ability to circulate for C-sections and triage OB patients.
Details\n- \n
- Work in a 6-bed Labor & Delivery unit with one C-section OR \n
- Unit averages 100 deliveries monthly, collaborating with OBGYNs and midwives \n
- Manage laboring patients, circulate and assist in C-sections, and recover both labor and surgical patients \n
- Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am \n
- 48 hours per week across 4 days, with 12-hour shifts \n
- Every other weekend (EOW) required \n
- Every other holiday (EOH) required \n
- No on-call responsibilities \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- \n
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license currently in hand \n
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS \n
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience required \n
- Five years of L&D experience highly preferred \n
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred \n
- Able to circulate for C-sections \n
- Able to triage for OB patients \n
- Point of care testing experience required \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- \n
- Provide competent clinical nursing care for laboring, surgical, and postpartum patients \n
- Perform bedside point of care testing as part of the patient care plan \n
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate individualized plans of care \n
- Participate in unit performance improvement activities and promote cost-effective care \n
- Assess patient and family education needs and provide relevant patient education materials \n
- Advocate for a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment \n
