Job Description\nAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist with active ARRT (R) and SCRQSA licensure to perform acute care imaging in a dynamic trauma setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n- Work in an acute care hospital setting with Level 1 trauma capabilities and a busy X-ray department
- Care for adult and pediatric patients across ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and the operating room
- Perform bedside/portable X-rays, trauma imaging, C-arm procedures, and fluoroscopic studies including barium swallow and esophagram
- 3x12 hour day shifts, Wednesday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required per facility policy
- Epic EMR is utilized and prior experience is required
- Independently perform all aspects of X-ray imaging in high-acuity environments
- Adapt to equipment-specific training as needed
- Must be able to float to any unit where competencies have been demonstrated and documented
- Requests for time off or special scheduling must be submitted with application and are subject to facility approval
- Not open to first-time travelers
- Candidates must live more than 100 miles from any facility campus to be eligible as a traveler
- Active ARRT (R) and SCRQSA license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; 1 year accepted with full-time Level 1 trauma and Children’s Hospital experience, including OR and fluoroscopic studies
- Experience in ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and operating room imaging required
- Proficiency with bedside/portable X-ray, trauma imaging, C-arm, and fluoroscopic studies
- One year of Epic EMR experience required
- License required if applicable
