Job Purpose & Position Overview:
This is a position that requires working towards their Substance Abuse Counseling licensure. This position will provide assistance to the Office manager and the Therapist and Counselor to provide service to individuals, couples, and families of all ages in a culturally sensitive manner.
Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with Recovery staff to assist with the groups.
- Work with the Recovery staff to assist with community outreach, and education.
- Attend meetings, activities, and trainings.
- Observe professional standards of confidentiality and demonstrate ethical behavior.
- Empower families with information and support.
- Act as a resource to families and community agencies and organizations.
- Provide outreach and education regarding best practice to physicians and other community providers.
- Assist parents in communication more effectively with medical personnel and other health providers
- Help families by providing support education, access to community resources and facilitating workshops.
- Facilitate family involvement in supportive and related activities.
- Maintain assigned client files and generate all needed documentation for those files in an ethical manner.
- Other administrative duties as designated by the Recovery Director or designee.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Skills:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements

Physical Requirements:
- Normal to light office work which includes the ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, phone, and various office equipment.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team
- Works with minimal to no supervision
Language Requirements:
- Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
