Position Summary

Responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing hospital supplies and equipment. The Supply Chain associate is also assigned the responsibility of carrying out the functions and duties of the Mailroom.

 

In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned other duties as required.

Preferred: Six(6) month experience in warehousing, store-keeping stock control work, and customer service related.

 

Skills and Abilities:

Preferred: Working knowledge of medical device/supply terminology.

 

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Accurately checks incoming shipments againsts purchase orders.
  2. Fills orders quickly and accurately from requisitions and pick-lists.
  3. Monitors and maintains par level locations including automated supply stations as required.
  4. Receives, stores, issues and delivers materials, supplies and equipment.
  5. Checks merchandise received for conformity to specifications; reports shortages and damaged goods received and report other discrepancies.
  6. Assists in packaging, marking and shipping merchandise returned for credit, exchange or repair.
  7. Receives, sorts and distributes incoming mail and interoffice correspondence according to a pre-defined schedule.
  8. Duplicates forms and other materials for requesting departments.  Maintains recrods of forms duplicated and delivers forms as needed.
  9. Assists in maintaining the warehouse(s) and all mailroom areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
  10. Performs clerical and computer related duties as assigned.
