Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: Nights – 3x12-hour shifts
Contract Length: 13 weeks 
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by following individualized care plans and maintaining clinical standards. The RN supervises LPNs, CNAs, and orientees, while promoting Select Medical’s core values of safety, teamwork, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify patient teaching needs and set care goals.
• Provide accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, focusing on education and quality outcomes.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from admission.
• Ensure continuity of care by communicating patient status changes to physicians and charge nurses.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff effectively.
• Promote patient and employee safety, following all hospital safety and infection control guidelines.
• Contribute to unit operations with professionalism, calm leadership, and teamwork.
• Maintain compliance with hospital standards for attendance, punctuality, and professional appearance.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.
• Pursue continuing education for ongoing professional development.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required
• Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience
• ICU/LTACH experience preferred or required
