Machine Learning Lead

Job Title: Machine Learning Lead (Preferably in Pittsburgh)

Location: Pittsburgh or Remote (U.S.) or Hybrid based on project/client needs
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders preferred

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Lead to join our team, ideally based in Pittsburgh. The candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in machine learning or AI, along with some management or leadership exposure. This role involves working closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to craft intelligent, data-driven solutions that generate tangible business value.

• Lead the design, training, deployment, and optimization of machine learning models for practical applications.
• Perform data preparation, feature engineering, and ensure model validation for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain scalable ML pipelines to support high-performance solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate strategic business needs into effective ML models.
• Monitor, evaluate, and enhance model performance after deployment, ensuring robustness and reliability.
• Keep abreast of emerging AI/ML frameworks and incorporate innovative techniques into projects.

• 5+ years of experience in machine learning model development and deployment.
• 2+ years experience and some management/leadership experience needs to read as Machine Learning Lead
• Some management or leadership experience, capable of guiding teams and projects.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and XGBoost.
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines and tools like Pandas, SQL, Spark, or Airflow.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ML tools such as SageMaker, Vertex AI, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD best practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, or Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer.
