Job Description
The Position : Part time or Full time
Our sales and service people play an important role in our store and they are the first and last
point of contact for most customers. This is a great opportunity to join our team where you’ll
be exposed to a fun and fast-paced consumer focused environment. The services we provide
will leave a lasting impression on everyone who walks through our doors. This position requires
downhill skiing experience, good communication skills and a desire to work around other
people.
Qualifications :
- You don’t need to be an expert skier to work at Chalet. A few years of downhill skiing experience
- might be enough to build on with our great training program
- Must be passionate about downhill skiing and winter sports
- 325 years of retail store service experience
- Some current knowledge of ski equipment
- You should be comfortable working with people and enjoy a fast paced environment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Flexible to work on weekends and busy holiday periods during the peak ski season
Duties and responsibilities :
* Assist customers in the selection of products and services which match their needs
*Attend all product information clinics and service seminars
* Evaluate incoming ski equipment for repairs and tuning, explain options and recommend appropriate services
* Work with customers on basic boot fitting and insole selection
* Answer incoming phone calls and website inquires in a friendly patient manor
* Enter transactions into POS system and complete payment process on service
Store Maintenance :
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of floor, shop and back room storage areas
- Help clean and maintain ski service counter areas
- Help process incoming ski merchandise and follow tagging guidelines
- Training and Development :
- Must be available to attend all product training clinics
- Must learn and follow boot fitting and foot analysis guidelines
- Must learn and follow all ski service forms and documentation.
- Attend all service training and binding certification seminars
- Attend on-snow ski testing events
Work Schedule :
- Applicants must be available at least 24 hours per week
- Must be available for at least two day-time shifts during the week and one shift on
weekends ( We are not open in the evenings )
- Applicants must be available to attend product and service training clinics before or
after store hours
Compensation :
- $15 - $20 per hour including incentive pay
- Paid training time
