Practice Overview
Join our privately owned, single-physician (vascular surgeon) vein practice in southern Mississippi, supported by a Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Registered Vascular Technologists, and a dedicated team across three busy locations. We specialize in minimally invasive treatments (e.g., endovenous laser ablation, phlebectomy, sclerotherapy) with a focus on patient satisfaction and outcomes. Enjoy a 4-day workweek (9 AM-5 PM), no hospital duties, and only occasional after-hours phone calls. With plans to expand to additional locations and add mid-level providers, this role offers fractional ownership opportunities after Year 2.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform office-based vein procedures and follow-up consultations.
- Evaluate and manage patients with venous insufficiency through history, physical exams, and diagnostic ultrasound.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless patient care, including pre- and post-procedure education.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EMR/CureMD) using templates for minimal input.
- Participate in occasional society-mandated quality assurance meetings and continuing education.
- Contribute to practice growth initiatives, such as expanding services or mentoring mid-level providers.
- Collaborate with our in-house revenue cycle management team to ensure accurate billing and coding.
- No surgical or hospital-based duties; focus on patient comfort in an office setting.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Active medical license in good standing (or eligibility for licensure in Mississippi).
- Board certification or eligibility in Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, or a related field, with hands-on experience in vein treatments. American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine certification preferred but not required.
- Proven expertise in leg vein ablation, phlebectomy, and sclerotherapy.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, positive approach and enthusiasm for team collaboration.
- Unrestricted DEA registration for necessary pre-procedure prescriptions.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, hospital-paced workflow within an office-based setting.
