Pediatric OR RN Job Details

• Location: Morgantown, WV 26506 (West Virginia nursing jobs)
• Facility Type: Pediatric Operating Room, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing (Healthcare contract)
• Start Date: October 24, 2025
• End Date: January 23, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
• Shifts: 2 eight-hour & 2 twelve-hour shifts/week; preferred 10:30am–7:00pm for 8-hour days; weekends/holidays as scheduled
• Call: 1 call shift/week, 1–2 weekend calls, rotating holiday coverage, mandatory standby (30-minute response time)
• Floating: Required to 5N/1W & Children’s units as needed
• Scrubs: Provided
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2280 - $2450

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (open to candidates willing to obtain West Virginia RN license)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room RN experience; pediatric OR experience preferred
• Ability to float to other pediatric healthcare units
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (per policy)
• Valid, unexpired driver’s license required
• Completion of 2-day orientation and checklist

Pediatric Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room
• Assist with pediatric surgical procedures: tonsillectomies, hypospadias repairs, rectus muscle procedures, craniotomies, cardiac, and orthopedic surgeries
• Perform scrubbing and circulating duties (scrubbing preferred but not mandatory)
• Respond promptly to on-call and standby shifts (30-minute response time)
• Float to designated pediatric units as required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC
