Field Services Technician

The Field Service Specialist plays a hybrid role that combines technical field work with client relationship management. This individual is the face of our company on job sites, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting video surveillance systems, while also serving as a primary point of contact for customers during and after installation. The position is field based, working predominantly outdoors in construction and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities: Technical Field Work

• Install wall- and pole-mounted security camera units on construction sites.

• Dig and set 3’ deep poles weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of camera units.

• Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues on-site.

• Coordinate with Field Operations team for maintenance schedules and part replacements.

• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including use of PPE and ladder safety.

• Remove and relocate assets as needed.

• Perform preventative on assigned service vehicles

• Oversee general facility maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient working environment

Site & Client Management

• Attend and support site stake-out and installation meetings with Territory Sales Managers (TSM) or Account Executives (AE).

• Within the assigned territory find new job sites and create leads for the sales staff to follow up.

• Assume ownership of site after installation, managing service schedules and updates.

• Maintain updated site maps with unit numbers; monitor for equipment relocations or removals.

• Identify additional client needs and communicate opportunities for upselling or service adjustments.

• Handle client requests related to VR systems, service changes, and point-of-contact updates.

• Ensure signage is properly placed and removed in a timely manner.

• Oversee inventory management, ensuring products are well maintained and readily available.

• Create and manage work orders for asset repairs and maintenance.
