Travel Nursing Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC), every other weekend required

• Patient Ratio: 1:6, with 2 techs assisting on the unit

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities for Telemetry Registered Nurses

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on the Cardiac/Pulmonary (Telemetry) unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, EKGs, and vital signs
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Educate patients and families on care plans, cardiac health, and discharge instructions
