Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a full-time, onsite contract position serving students in grades K-12 in Burbank, IL. This role primarily supports elementary and middle school students, with a focus on those enrolled in the Autism program. The standard workday runs from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, providing consistent hours throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress in compliance with school guidelines.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 35-40 students, primarily in the elementary and middle school autism programs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working as an SLP in a school setting.
- Knowledge of speech and language development in children.
- Experience with students on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
