Neurology Physician

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, is seeking Board-Certified Neurologists for long-term locum coverage beginning in April 2026. This opportunity supports both the stroke service and general neurology rounding, with assistance from an experienced Nurse Practitioner who maintains their own patient panel.

Assignment Overview

Start Date: April 1, 2026
End Date: December 31, 2026
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (8-hour days, no call)
Setting: Inpatient Stroke and General Neurology
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
EMR: Epic
Number of Providers Needed: 1 2

• Patient Load: 6 8 inpatients per day plus 4 6 ER consults on average

• Support Staff: 1 NP (no supervision required)

• No call, admissions, or outpatient responsibilities

• Guaranteed 8 hours/day, overtime after 10 hours/day

Flexible scheduling options are available approximately 2 3 weeks per quarter for one provider or 1 2 weeks per quarter if two providers share the assignment.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neurology

• Active Oregon medical license

• Experience with thrombolytic therapy
