About the Opportunity

We’re looking for motivated, high-energy individuals to join us as Fireworks Tent Operators. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll manage your own seasonal retail tent, hire and lead your crew, and earn a strong income over a short sales period.

Responsibilities

• Hire and manage your own crew (typically 3–8 people)
• Oversee daily sales, inventory, and deposits
• Handle tent setup and breakdown using provided checklists
• Maintain tent security, cleanliness, and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements
• Deliver great customer service and ensure crew product knowledge
• Remain available and responsive during the entire sales period

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to recruit, manage, and motivate a small team
• Must pass a clean background check
• High energy, dependable, and strong work ethic
• Able to follow operational checklists and training guidelines
• Must attend a mandatory pre-season training session
• Must be available for setup and breakdown before and after the selling period

Preferred Skills

• Retail or sales experience
• POS (Point-of-Sale) system familiarity (training provided)
• Inventory management and crew supervision

Compensation

• 10% commission on gross sales (excluding tax, discounts, refunds, credit card fees, and promotional giveaways)
• $500 setup bonus upon verified completion of setup tasks
• High-performing Operators typically earn $5,000–$20,000 per season

Additional Information

• This is an independent contractor position, not employment.
• Operators are responsible for staffing, payroll, taxes, and insurance for their crews.
• Must be willing and able to relocate temporarily to the assigned tent location.

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years or older

• Retail skills: point of sale (POS) operation
• Management skills: supervising employees
