As a Fleet Specialist, you will be focused on ensuring the company's vehicle fleet is safe, compliant, and cost-effective by managing maintenance schedules, supporting DOT compliance, coordinating repairs, and overseeing vehicle lifecycle and capital planning - all while delivering excellent customer service and operational support.
This role includes:
- Acts as primary point of contact for all company fleet related repair needs, and emergency incident response events.
- Responsible for the timely execution of the preventive maintenance schedule for all vehicles.
- Supports the company's DOT compliance process, providing subject matter expertise regarding vehicle Inspection and maintenance policies/procedures.
- Evaluates effectiveness of fleet maintenance programs; makes recommendations for future needs and changes.
- Maintains fleet database to ensure all vehicles are properly accounted for and ensures all vehicle preventive maintenance services are performed as scheduled.
- Provides technical assistance and outside vendor program support.
- Supports the company's annual vehicle capital purchase program, and deployment process.

What does the role require?
- Minimum of 3 years working knowledge of fleet maintenance programs; and with outside vendors aiding with fleet programs.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to the fleet at the local, state, and federal level including Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Must be able to gather information from multiple sources, understand gaps in data, and drive solutions to provide solid data analysis.
- Flexibility and the ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- This position offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote per week. However, as the primary on-call responder for all fleet-related issues, you must be available during nights, weekends, and holidays to address emergencies as they arise.
- Excellent people skills, experience effectively communicating key data to all levels both internal and external to the organization.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient computer skills particularly MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
