Job Description
Position: Sales Associate (Part-time)
Salary: Starting at $15.00 per hour
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
Shift: Up to an 8-hour shift
Weekly day range: Weekend hours required
Work Location: 5902 York Road
About Us: The Junior League of Baltimore, Inc., advances women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through effective volunteer action, collaboration and training. The Wise Penny is a thrift store owned and operated by the Junior League of Baltimore. The shop provides quality new and “gently used” clothing and household items at affordable prices.
Proceeds are used for funding the League’s community projects. Since opening in 1970, The Wise Penny has raised over $3.0 million to support the League and its programs.
Responsibilities:
Provide exemplary customer service
Inventory management - receive and process donated items following JLB Chair guidance
Process sales on register and handle cash
Complete store opening and closing tasks
Maintain store cleanliness and order
Support the preparation of visual merchandising
Other duties may be required

Qualifications:
A minimum of high school diploma or GED and 1+ years in the retail, secondhand retail, or gift shop industries; or 4+ years in the retail, secondhand retail, or gift shop industries
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Cleared background check
