Pharmacist in Grants, NM

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to support an outpatient tribal healthcare facility. This role involves delivering expert pharmaceutical care and leadership within the pharmacy team. The position is based in Grants, NM, and requires dedication to enhancing patient outcomes through comprehensive medication management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient counseling to ensure understanding of medication therapies
• Perform final medication reviews and checks for accuracy and safety
• Supervise and oversee pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient operations
• Dispense medications accurately and in accordance with protocols

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am 6:30 pm, working 4x10 hour shifts
• Some Saturdays required, 8:00 am 4:30 pm

Qualifications:

• Valid New Mexico Pharmacist License
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Immunization certification preferred but not required
• Open to new graduates eager to grow their pharmacy practice
