JOB SUMMARY
The Corporate Development and Financial Strategist serves as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO, ensuring that key priorities across strategy, finance, and operations are executed with clarity and discipline. This role provides high-level support in decision-making, organizational alignment, and cross-functional initiatives, while also driving strategic projects and enabling effective governance with the Board of Directors and Tribal Council.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CEO in developing and evaluating strategies for new and existing business ventures, including leasing, food & beverage, investments, and future initiatives.
- Build and maintain business plans, financial models, and performance dashboards to guide strategic decision-making.
- Conduct research and analysis on markets, competitors, and investment opportunities to inform executive decisions.
- Prepare executive-level materials such as board packets, investor presentations, and performance reviews, delivering clear and actionable insights.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO by prioritizing initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending corrective actions.
- Coordinate governance activities with the Board of Directors and Tribal Council, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Represent the CEO in meetings when appropriate, ensuring follow-through on decisions and commitments.
- Establish and manage operating rhythms, including executive meetings, reporting cadences, and KPI reviews.
- Facilitate cross-departmental communication and alignment to ensure accountability for strategic finance objectives.
- Develop and implement foundational processes and policies such as budget governance, reporting calendars, and compliance protocols to support scalable growth.
- Lead and oversee special initiatives on behalf of the CEO, including new business launches, partnership development, and organizational enhancements.
- Drive cross-functional execution by setting clear milestones, tracking progress, and proactively removing obstacles.
- Advise the CEO on organizational design, leadership development, and succession planning strategies.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, ethical leadership, and operational transparency across finance and enterprise functions.
Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred, with a focus in strategy, business operations, or finance.
- 710 years of progressive experience in strategy, operations, finance, or consulting, including direct exposure to executive leadership and board governance.
- Demonstrated analytical and financial expertise, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic plans.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying sophisticated concepts in clear, concise terms to executives and key stakeholders.
- Highly organized and adaptable, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration and driving initiatives from concept through successful execution.

In accordance with applicable Tribal law and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians (PRCI) Administration provides employment preference to enrolled PRCI Tribal Members. To qualify, applicants must submit valid proof of enrollment. Tribal Members who meet the minimum qualifications will be given preference in hiring, promotion, transfer, and layoff decisions. During the interview process, PRCI Tribal Members will receive an additional 7.5 points (10% of the 75-point interview rubric). Non-PRCI Native American candidates will receive an additional 5 points (6.7% of the total points) in accordance with Indian Preference guidelines.
INDIAN PREFERENCE STATEMENT:
In compliance with 25 CFR Part 276 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Sections 701(b) and 703(i), employment preference shall be given to qualified applicants who are enrolled members of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians, and secondarily, to another qualified American Indian/Alaska Native Candidate.
