About this job
· Keep informed of best-in-class tools and techniques needed for solution design
· Track all projects and provide communication and guidance to engineering leadership
· Determine and enlist resources required to support targeted changes in support of CI project including WMS Engineering, Operations, Human Resources, Quality, Etc.
· Analyze workflow including inbound, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping and VAS processes to ensure accuracy and ability to execute
· Ensures all distribution system functionality is configured to optimize performance (e.g., WMS, LMS)
· Performs special research or technical studies critical to logistic support functions
· Performs cost/benefit tradeoff analysis and develop ROI business cases for recommended projects involving process, system, or technology change
· Develops logistics engineering strategies with the engineering leadership team
· May participate in “Quality Planning” (QP) sessions with new clients validating requirements and processes
Qualifications:
· Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
· Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4walls) environment.
· Prior leadership positions directing Logistics Engineers in 3PL/supply chain environment
Preferred:
· 7 years’ experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4walls) environment.
· Green Belt Six Sigma / Lean Certified
· Experience dealing with end users, vendors, and clients
· Experience in 3PL environment
· E-commerce experience including starting up small to large volume solutions
· Experience in multiple warehouse automation applications (Pick to Light, Automated Sortation, Voice Pick, conveyor design, etc.)
· Experience in LMS implementation and/or steady state execution
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
