The Opportunity
You will oversee core financial and accounting functions, playing a critical role in ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance across the company's financial systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing complex accounting cycles, enhancing processes, and leveraging data to support key business decisions. You will also collaborate with multiple departments, drive strategic initiatives, and lead a talented team.
Core responsibilities
- Direct the corporate accounting cycle, including general ledger maintenance, critical reconciliations, and reporting timelines.
- Lead the financial reporting process, delivering insightful analysis on results and performance metrics.
- Strengthen and standardize accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
- Drive continuous process improvements, system enhancements, and automation efforts to increase efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including business unit leaders, to ensure accurate financial data and alignment with strategic goals.
- Oversee complex, ad-hoc accounting initiatives related to capital projects and special transactions.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to a team of finance professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in financial leadership roles, with extensive experience in core accounting principles and complex reporting frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing sophisticated financial transactions and strategic accounting projects.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present complex financial data to a variety of audiences.
- Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
