Join Pride Health as a Histotechnologist at Newtown Square, PA! This is a 3 months contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
 

Role: Histotechnologist

Location: Newtown Square, PA 19073

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40 hours

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Highlights: $40 - 55/hour (Based on years of experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accession, label, and process tissue samples according to laboratory protocols.
• Embed processed tissue in paraffin and perform precise microtomy of embedded specimens.
• Prepare and stain slides using routine Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) procedures.
• Perform special stains and prepare associated reagents and control materials.
• Conduct coverslipping of stained slides (manual or automated).
• Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting minor issues.
• Document quality control activities and corrective actions.
• Train and provide guidance to Histotechnicians, students, or laboratory aides as required.
• Ensure compliance with corporate safety, quality control, and quality assurance standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, or related discipline).

Certifications: ASCP certification (HT or HTL) required.

Experience:

• Prior professional experience as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist.
• Strong understanding of tissue preparation techniques, embedding, microtomy, and staining.

Note: Local or travelers both are eligible.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
