Position Overview

HumanEdge is seeking an experienced Travel Medical Imaging Technologist (Radiology) to join a dynamic hospital team. Under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, Manager, and Radiologists, the technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, assists in clinical evaluations, and provides patients with safe, high-quality care. Radiation safety and adherence to NY State Department of Health guidelines are essential. This is a fast-paced, educationally rich environment where continuous learning and patient-centered care are prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures according to prescribed protocols using modality-specific equipment

• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and a positive experience throughout imaging procedures

• Maintain radiation safety practices in accordance with New York State Department of Health Code Part 16

• Assist in clinical evaluation and care under the supervision of the radiologist

• Support teaching and continuing education for self and peers

• Adhere to hospital policies, state regulations, and accrediting agency standards

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Applied Science – Required

• Diploma in X-Ray or Vocational School Diploma from an approved imaging program – Required

• ARRT Certification – Required

• New York State Registration or Limited Permit to Practice – Required

• BLS Certification (AHA) – Required

• Minimum 2 years of relevant medical imaging experience – Required

• Demonstrates competency in imaging skills and patient care for diverse age groups

• Prior experience in a high-volume, hospital-based radiology department – Preferred
