Precast Concrete Estimator

Job Description: Estimator

FUNCTION:

The Precast Estimator is the person responsible for pricing Manhole and Storm Water products. He or She shall be active in finding new projects and to price out the jobs accordingly.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide quotes and prices for Manhole and Storm Water projects to customers.
• Provide onsite project visits.
• Communicate any orders or needs with the Precast Coordinator or Plant Manager in an effort to be accurate and timely on Precast Manhole or Storm Water orders.
• Keep up with delinquent accounts on Manhole and Storm Water Clients and keep the number of delinquent accounts to a minimum. This includes making phone calls to those who are behind.
• Able to use AutoCAD to create basic product drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be an upbeat person who possesses great people skills and has the ability to multi task
• This person should have good computer skills, preferably with Macintosh computers and Excel.
• This person should, but not required to, have experience in working with Manholes and Storm water products.
• They should be familiar with Manhole, and Storm Water drawings and able to read plans and price out jobs accordingly.
• While not a requirement, Drafting and CAD experience is a plus.

WORK HOURS:

The work week is Monday through Friday. The work day will start at 7:30 AM and end at 4:00 PM.

Dress Code:

Dress Code is casual. Jeans, capris pants, tennis shoes, sandals and a nice shirt are all acceptable. No shorts, or short skirts are allowed.
