Low Voltage Controls Technician/Installer
Automated Controls, Inc. is an established control company now hiring experienced HVAC Controls Installers, Electricians and Control Service Techs for maintenance of low voltage automated building control systems for HVAC, Security, CCTV, Lighting and Access control. Work on new and existing construction projects.
Now hiring experienced electricians, service technicians and installers for installation and maintenance of low voltage automated building control systems for HVAC, lighting and access control. Work on new and existing construction projects throughout San Diego County. Knowledge of building mechanical system operation, access control systems, and computers required.

Job description:
Under specific direction, responsible for the installation and service of HVAC Control Systems, equipment, and building automation to primary decision makers with contractors and consultants of new and renovated buildings. Builds and manages long term customer relationships/partnerships with mechanical contractors, owners and MEP consultants. Responsible for customer satisfaction. Provide technical solutions to the customer's business and operational needs as well as demonstrating applicable technical knowledge. Execute the process to aid in cultivating and managing long-term relationships and in seeking out, qualifying, and closing new opportunities. Utilize tools to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunity in accounts. Seek to expand the depth and breadth of offerings within those accounts.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Split Systems
Condensing units - heat pump condensing units
Condensing units - cooling only condensing units
Forced air units
Rooftop units (side shot & down flow configurations)
Package heat pump units
Gas/Electric packaged units
Condenser units
WATER SOURCE HEAT PUMP UNITS (WSHP) - VERTICAL OR HORIZONTAL
Tri-water System WSHP units
Closed loop WSHP units
ELECTRICAL:
115 VAC,208 VAC, 230 VAC, 277 VAC, 460 VAC (single phase & three phase) wiring, conduit, and troubleshooting knowledge
Please note that a STRONG conduit installation skill is desired.
CONTROLS:
Thermostat installation and programming
Control wiring of low voltage for various systems of DDC controls
Wiring for switches and relays
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be willing to learn and follow instruction
Normal working hours are typically between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Applicant must have an "open" schedule (days, evenings, and weekends) when projects require work to be completed "afterhours" to accommodate a Customer's schedule.
Must have own "standard" hand tools for HVAC work
Salary/Wage: Based on knowledge & experience
Status: Full Time
Shift: Days, (Some Nights and Weekend work)
