Location: Eden Prairie, MN Employer: Medix Staffing
Medix is hiring motivated Medical Device Manufacturing Technicians for a leading medical technology company in Eden Prairie, MN. These are high-priority Contract-to-Hire positions with two different teams, offering strong potential for long-term career growth.
We are seeking candidates for both intricate Assembly and specialized Coating Services.
1st Shift Assembly: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
2nd Shift Coating: Monday-Thursday, 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Includes a $1.00/hr Shift Differential)
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour (Base Pay) Duration: 6+ Months Contract-to-Hire
Role Focus & Responsibilities
Depending on the team, your day-to-day work will involve:
Intricate Small Parts Assembly: Performing detailed bench work to assemble small medical devices (e.g., catheters) manually, often requiring consistent work under microscopes.
Specialized Device Coating: Applying proprietary coatings to long medical devices. This role requires the ability to stand for long periods (10-hour shifts) and may involve working with step stools.
Strict adherence to GMP guidelines and clean room protocols for medical device manufacturing.
Following detailed manufacturing instructions, processing, cleaning, and packaging finished products.
Using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
What You Need to Apply
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience (Assembly Track): 2+ years of small parts assembly experience, preferably within a medical device environment. Proven microscope experience and excellent dexterity are essential.
Experience (Coating Track): 1+ year of clean room experience in medical device manufacturing. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and work with long devices.
General: Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to quality documentation.
Nice to Have: Direct experience with catheter or wire assembly/manufacturing.
