Job Description
We are looking for a skilled electrician to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis for a duration of six months. This role requires working on a rotating Dupont 12-hour shift, with hours from 7 AM to 7 PM and vice versa.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on electric arc furnaces, bucket elevators, pneumatic systems, and augers in an industrial setting.
- Manage motor controls, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and DC-controlled systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Conduct minimal PLC troubleshooting, specifically with Allen-Bradley Micrologic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and install electrical components as needed.
Essential Skills
- Experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Proficiency with motor controls, including VFD and DC-controlled systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems, particularly Allen Bradley PLCs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Electrical journeyman certification is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Work Environment
The work environment is industrial and can be very dirty, requiring the use of steel-toe boots, hard hats, and safety glasses. Employees will train during the day for up to three months before moving to a rotating schedule.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.92 - $27.92/hr.
