Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN with a CA license and AWHONN certification for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of L&D experience.

• Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
\n
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
\n
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2
\n
• On-call responsibilities as needed
\n
• No weekend requirement
\n
• Uses Epic charting system
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active CA RN license required
\n
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Advanced preferred)
\n
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
\n
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Independently applies the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
\n
• May supervise the work of staff nurses, licensed vocational nurses, nursing assistants, and clinical support associates
\n
• Demonstrates age-specific competencies in caring for a group of assigned patients
\n
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate
\n
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
\n
• Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
\n
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
\n
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
