American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position working night shifts with a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and required AWHONN Intermediate certification.

- Work setting is a Labor & Delivery unit at a women's hospital with 100–200 facility births per month \n
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with an option of 36 or 48 hours per week \n
- 13-week contract \n
- Patient ratio is 1:2 \n
- Antepartum and Labor & Delivery experience expected, including high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, C-section circulating and recovery, and antepartum care \n
- Medication administration includes anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and insulin drips \n
- Procedures include sterile vaginal exams, obstetrical triage, external fetal heart monitoring (EFM), IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line maintenance (CVC/PICC) \n
- Epic charting experience preferred \n
- 4–6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period \n
- Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs \n

- Active NM or Compact RN license required (pending NM/Compact license accepted, but must be obtained prior to start) \n
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required (not including new graduate orientation time) \n
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications accepted) \n
- AWHONN Advanced certification preferred \n
- Epic EMR experience preferred \n
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position \n
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration \n
- Current valid state RN license required for consideration \n

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Scrubs are provided by the facility \n
- Travelers will receive a brief orientation on any unit they float to \n
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler \n
- No RTO during the first week of orientation; a maximum of 3 days of RTO may be auto-approved for the contract \n
- No travel pairs or groups accepted \n
- Isolation precautions/PPE compliance is expected \n
