Registered Nurse (RN) - Night 3x12.0 Schedule
This position operates on a night schedule, consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by adhering to the nursing care plan. This role includes the supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, as well as providing support to orientees. The RN works within the framework of the Select Medical Way and Core Values, ensuring patient and employee safety at all times.
Responsibilities- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
- Develop individualized plans of care based on nursing assessments and patient needs.
- Lead team conferences to discuss patient statuses and educational needs.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions.
- Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Promote a safe work environment by identifying hazards and adhering to safety policies.
- Participate in team-building activities to enhance unit efficiency.
- Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.
- BLS Certification is required prior to the first shift.
- ACLS Certification is required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
- Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
