Job Description

Join a team where precision meets innovation.

At Cadence, we’re advancing what’s possible in medical device manufacturing — and we’re looking for hands-on, detail-driven Automation Engineering Technicians who thrive in fast-paced, high-tech environments. In this role, you’ll support a cutting-edge, integrated manufacturing cell running 24/7 in a cleanroom setting. Your expertise will keep our automation running at peak performance and directly impact the quality, reliability, and efficiency of life-changing medical devices.

What You’ll Do
  • Keep production moving: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated and semi-automated equipment to maximize uptime and minimize disruptions.

  • Solve complex challenges: Diagnose and resolve issues across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems — getting to root causes and implementing smart, lasting fixes.

  • Drive improvement: Partner with engineers and operators to optimize cycle times, boost equipment reliability, and elevate product quality.

  • Share your knowledge: Train operators and maintenance staff on proper equipment use, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices for safety and efficiency.

  • Work with precision: Support grinding operations (CNC or manual), perform cleanroom maintenance, and ensure compliance with strict quality and environmental standards.

  • Build for the future: Assist in the installation, startup, and validation of new or modified automation systems, helping to scale our next generation of production lines.

What You Bring
  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field — or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in automated manufacturing (custom or integrated systems preferred).

  • Solid skills with PLC systems, sensors, actuators, and HMI interfaces.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.

  • Experience with grinding processes (manual or CNC) strongly preferred.

  • Previous work in ISO 13485 / medical device or cleanroom environments a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Flexibility to support off-shift or weekend troubleshooting as needed.

Why Cadence
  • Be part of a high-tech, mission-driven manufacturing team making a real difference in patients’ lives.

  • Work with advanced, custom-built automation in a clean, dynamic environment.

  • Enjoy a culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow your career in a fast-evolving company.

Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2nd and 3rd. Shift hours to be determined. Overtime will be available.
