American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level III Trauma hospital in Paris, TX, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and proficiency in labor management and cesarean section.
Details- Labor and Delivery unit in a 154-bed, Level III Trauma, Level I NICU hospital serving Northeast TX and Southeast OK
- 9-bed L&D unit with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:3
- Patient population includes all ages with common cases including labor, pre-term labor, vaginal delivery, cesarean section, and pregnancy complications
- Equipment used includes electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), IV pumps, and NIBP
- EMR systems: GE Centricity and Meditech
- Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required, plus call as needed
- Floating required as needed
- 13-week contract
- Active RN license valid in Texas (TX license or Compact license with TX privileges) required
- Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, AWHONN, and HWC — all must be obtained prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Proficiency in labor management, circulating cesarean sections, and OB triage required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Travelers who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
- Hospital provides scrubs; unnatural hair colors and casual wear are not permitted
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
