Tucker Transportation is hiring a specialized Bed Truck / Pole Truck Operator to handle the heavy-duty transport of drilling rigs and production equipment. This is a crucial, demanding role supporting infrastructure and energy projects across the Rocky Mountain Range and Central US.

We seek a proven professional who is expert in both driving and operating the truck's loading equipment. We offer top pay, a modern, well-maintained fleet, and prioritize guaranteed home time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable, professional Class A CDL driving experience in heavy industrial or utility transport.
  • Specialized Experience: Proven, hands-on experience operating Bed Trucks, Gin Poles, and Winches for self-loading/unloading drilling rigs and production equipment.
  • License: Current and valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Safety: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last three years.
  • Compliance: Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening, and remain fully DOT compliant.
  • Age: Must be 21 years of age or older.

Key Responsibilities

As a Bed Truck / Pole Truck Operator, you will be relied upon to:

  • Equipment Operation: Expertly utilize the truck’s gin poles, winch, and other hydraulic systems to load, maneuver, and safely place heavy and oversized materials.
  • Specialized Hauling: Transport drilling rigs and production equipment across challenging terrain, including off-road and job-site environments.
  • Load Management: Ensure expert cargo securement, precise weight distribution, and tie-down of specialized loads.
  • Compliance & Logs: Complete all required pre-trip/post-trip inspections (DVIRs), maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD), and handle regulatory paperwork meticulously.
  • Field Safety: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and site procedures during high-risk loading and offloading operations.
