Medical Biller

State agency looking to fill a Billing position in their Finance & Operations Patient Billing Department.

Experience:

Must have thorough knowledge of billing Medicare, Medicaid, or managed care experience.

Education:

A bachelor's degree and five years of administrative or professional experience or a high school diploma and eight years of administrative or professional experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage & complete the payer enrollment process Statewide for all payers in an Electronic Health Record practice management system.
• Monitor assigned Rev Cycle claim queues and utilize Revenue Manager for claim submission. Review claims for corrections/denials/errors to provide timely payments.
• Monitor secondary claims for payers assigned after primary claim adjudication is complete.
• Maintain essential knowledge of program and payer policies, rules and regulations related to billing and reimbursement.
• Other duties as assigned. Includes the following but is not limited to; participation in presentation, workshops and training.
