About The Position

Orthopedic Trauma Locums Physician, Kentucky - 7 Day Coverage

Trauma-focused Orthopedic Surgery assignment in Kentucky with 7-day blocks and no joint cases.

Highlights

• 7-day trauma call blocks; potential for split coverage
• No total joints; trauma-only procedures
• Credentialing in 30-45 days
• Dates still open for early 2026

Practice Setting

• Level II trauma center with EPIC EMR
• Inpatient and outpatient coverage included
• Dedicated ortho team with imaging, casting, and OR support
• PA, NP, and surgical staff available

Schedule

• 24-hour call (7a-7a); blocks in January and beyond
• Option to split 3-day and 4-day rotations
• No backup call; first assist support when available

Cases and Procedures

• Standard trauma cases and high post-op volume
• Clinic volume: 21-25 patients/day
• No joint replacements

Requirements

• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Kentucky license or Open to IMLC Physicians
• DEA required

Travel Accommodations

• All travel costs covered
• Nearest airport 1-2.5 hours from site
