The Bronx, NY Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting a Chief of Hematology / Oncology to administratively manage the department and provide comprehensive hematological /oncological patient care to our Veterans. This VA boasts a robust cancer clinical trials program. A clinical appointment at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is included with the position. The Chief maintains high clinical standards that are carried into the decision-making process and continually strives to maintain and enhance teaching skills to effectively teach fellows from our academic affiliate, Columbia University.
The ideal applicant is a board-certified physician with advanced clinical experience as well as demonstrated administrative and leadership skills. Will perform hands-on clinical work, oversight, and administration of all aspects of the Hematology/Oncology Section, and may include guidance and training for medical residents, fellows and/or other trainees. Supervision of all staff including physicians and midlevel providers within the Section.
Assistance with payment of med school loans up to $200K is available.
