• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
• Unit: Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel nurse contract
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Number of Positions: 1
• Electronic Medical Record: MedHost (inpatient), GE Centricity (OB), Athena (Clinic)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,100 - $2,250 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Strong clinical skills in critical thinking, scientific judgment, and nursing leadership
• Ability to delegate and supervise patient care priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients during antepartum triage, active labor, postpartum (mother and baby), and special care nursery
• Apply the nursing process in compliance with the New Mexico Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education for travel nurses
• Anticipate, plan, and ensure safe delivery of patient care in Labor & Delivery settings
• Supervise and direct assigned healthcare personnel in patient care delivery
• Accurately document patient care and progress using EMR systems (MedHost, GE Centricity, Athena)
