Kitchen Manager- Crisis Stabilization Unit - Now Hiring

Communicare is currently seeking a Kitchen Manager at our Crisis Stabilization Unit in Panola County. Responsibilities include the following:

1. Oversees the overall organization of the CSU Kitchen.
2. Plans menus for all meals to ensure they are balanced and palatable.
3. Orders supplies and food according to set inventory levels.
4. Ensures all food preparation meets health department standards.
5. Keeps food service area neat and clean.
6. Supervises kitchen staff.
7. Trains new kitchen staff on cooking fundamentals and safe food handling.
8. Interacts with residents, establishing helping relationships in order to develop self-esteem of residents.
9. Performs other duties assigned by the Supervisor of Residential CDU Services or equivalent designee.

Job Requirements:

1. Graduate of high school or equivalent and one year experience in similar position.
2. Ability to plan menus and supervise other kitchen activities and skills in food preparation.
3. Health Department (ServSaf) Certification.
4. Supervisory skills.
5. Valid driver's license, proof of liability insurance, and an insurable driving record.
6. Ability to work independently and accept supervision.
7. Acceptable criminal background check.
