HVAC Superintendent

PRIMECH Recruiting is partnered with a mid-sized HVAC contractor that is seeking an experienced HVAC Superintendent to join their team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a background as an HVAC sheet metal installer, with at least 10 years in a superintendent role managing HVAC projects. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from $1-10 million in size. Projects include commercial construction installations, new construction, retrofits, tenant improvements, and equipment change-outs. Hydronic piping experience is a plus.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
  • Supervise and mentor HVAC technicians and subcontractors, maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Ensure proper installation and functionality of HVAC systems, adhering to industry standards and regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an HVAC Superintendent, with a strong background in commercial construction.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with budgets ranging from $1-10 million.
  • Extensive experience in new construction, retrofits, tenant improvements, and equipment change-outs.
  • Hydronic piping experience is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, installation processes, and applicable building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
