We’re seeking a Mechanical Drafter/Designer to support our Kenner, LA facility. This full-time role is ideal for someone with strong 2D and 3D drafting experience, a sharp mechanical eye, and the drive to turn complex ideas into detailed, accurate manufacturing drawings. What We're Looking For:

• Education: Associate degree in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Drafting
• Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in 2D mechanical drafting and 3D solid modeling for development of manufacturing prints including detailed dimensioning and tolerances
• Superb micrometer and other precision measurement skills
• Knowledge of machining operations preferred
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Office; ability to adapt to technology-driven tools; CMM experience is a plus
• Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards
• Collaborative: Effective at influencing work performance and fostering teamwork without direct authority
• Safety-Minded: Committed to upholding health and safety standards in all aspects of work
• Results-Driven: A proactive approach to completing assignments in a timely manner
• Organizational Skills: Excellent at simultaneously managing large file and information sets in a dynamic environment
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Develop manufacturing and machining prints for parts and components used in mechanical equipment
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment (0.001” tolerance or less)
• Collaborate with Machine Shop Coordinator and other shop personnel
• Uphold health and safety standards; represent Conhagen professionally
• Adhere to company regulations and protocols.

• Predominantly shop-based
• Extended standing periods
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
